It really cools, but with most air conditioners it cycles between cooling and just blowing air. Temperature goes down to 60, and the air is really cold when it's cycling. It has a remote control which is super convenient if you're using this in your bedroom and dont want to get out of bed to adjust the temperature. Took about 24 hours to dehumidify our piano room and get it to the humidity level I set it to (from 55% to 45%). It's not the most quiet appliance, but it is very effective and isn't in our main living space, so it's perfect for us. So far the manual setting works pretty well. I set it to 45% and it automatically turns on and off to keep the humidity level around there. I have a hygrometer near the piano that tracks humidity level and it's staying very steady since getting this dehumidifier. I'm also I glad I got the one with wi-fi connection. You can control everything through the app– turn the dehumidifier on/off; change the modes between Auto, "Dry" (the manual mode), Quiet, Fan, and Continuous; and fan speed. This is a nice compact dehumidifier. It's sturdy and heavy but doesn't take up too much space. The wheels and handle are great for mobility. One of the best things about it is how quiet it is in operation. For a commercial dehumidifier, the sound is very low. I don't have the ability to fully comment on it's effectiveness yet but can say that the reading changed rather quickly with a short test try.
