When it arrived, it had several folds and wrinkles from being packaged and shipped, but that’s to be expected. I’m confident they’ll relax and flatten out over time with use. The only thing I’m curious to see is how it holds up to my cat’s claws if she decides to use it as a scratching post. Hopefully that won’t be an issue, but only time will tell. We love this vinyl carpet protector for our stairs. It looks very nice, is non-slip and confirms easily to the stairs and stays in place with a minimal number of staples. I had a very hard time finding vinyl stair protector runners. Others were dangerously slippery and did not stay on the stairs even with lots of staples and nails.
