This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. Spent a lot of time researching for this. Many non-salt filters/softeners are so expensive to run. I liked that this has a pre-filter, but that the water is primarily run through a tank. Installation wasn't too bad.. I say that as if I put it in. Long story short, this has DRAMATICALLY reduced the scale in my home. The recirculation kits performs multi-stage filtration and removes the odor from the gas and smoke that is sucked into the range hood, which removes harmful components and pollutants in the smoke, and effectively solves the problem of using range hoods in houses where the range hood cannot be exhausted.
