I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. We are replacing our mini fridge which we keep in our garage. We placed the new fridge on top of an appliance cabinet so we could stock additional soda underneath. I did not attach the handle yet. I was actually slightly confused on how to remove the insulation to access the screws as directed. I’ll have my husband do it at some point. The fridge opens without the handle so it’s not a problem. I’m wondering if the extreme temperatures in the garage will be a problem with the glass front. As of now, it seems fine. We are very pleased with our fridge!. Stephanie. Hanover, PA.
