The aluminum frame and canopy, listed as 25 pounds actually weighted 29 pounds. The carrying case weighted an additional 7 pounds for a total of 36 pounds. The 46 pound figure is the weight used by the shipper and includes a sturdy shipping box. The canopy is cut for a decidedly tight fit. It was only with the third assembly and leaving it assembled overnight each time that we were able to pull all 4 corners completely down and in place over the frame. We couldn’t seat the canopy frame properly onto the pin at the top of the last leg until the fourth assembly. Again, tight but with time did loosen enough for correct assembly.
