Galvanized Steel T-Post has a one-piece, 2-inch diameter center post! This makes the tall center pole stronger and stops the pole from twisting and turning. The 32-inch wide crossbar attaches to the top of the pole and includes eyelet screws to anchor up to 7 lines of clothesline (clothesline sold separately). The galvanized steel is rust-resistant, unlike untreated steel posts. This helps your setup last longer--important since you are concreting it into the ground! Once installed, the top of the 90-inch t-post will be approx. 6.5 feet tall (or lower if installed deeper in the ground). This clothesline pole includes pole endcaps and all hardware necessary to set up a single post (additional posts are sold separately; typically 2 posts are required to set up a clothesline). I purchased this item to actually install in my kitchen to hang plastic green vegetable bags to dry after I wash them to re-use. I can see how this item might not be strong enough for heavy wet clothing items but for my intent it is perfect and I think it would work fine for small garments if you figure out how to tighten the line. Overall this is a very cool gizmo and exactly what I needed. I do have some input on installing the decorative plate cover for the connection end. At first I thought the set screw was missing. The directions shows it as if the cover should come already attached to connector plate but mine was not. Then, I found the set screw tightened way inside the connector end piece. I took it out assuming that I would need to place the plate cover on first (like most set screws work in the USA anyway) but the set screw does not fit into the cover plate this way (see photo). After some thought my partner figured out that the set screw will hold the cover on if it presses on it from the inside. So we inserted the screw back into the connector plate, placed the decorative cover over it and then unwound the set screw until it held the plate in place by friction. Yay! this works well. I try to help the environment and recycle whenever I can, however the sandwich bags don't get recycled, so I wash them can reuse them several times. The clothesline takes up little space, and will hold 10/12 sandwich bags.When I'm not using it, the wire line retracts back into the unit. I can hang up wet dish clothes and towels to dry too. Start air drying your laundry today with this umbrella clothesline outdoor dryer. Air drying is better for your clothes and helps you save on your utility bills, and you can get started today with this efficient and compact dryer. This umbrella dryer consists of two parts: a galvanized steel pole and aluminum topper. To set up the dryer, the pole is secured in the ground with a ground sleeve. The collapsible aluminum top can then be unfolded and added to the pole. The top and steel post can be removed at will, so you can bring the clothesline inside during inclement weather. The top also rotates, giving you easy access to each side when loading or unloading the dryer. The dryer’s angled lines increase airflow and improve circulation, ensuring that no matter how full you load this dryer, your items will dry more quickly and evenly. With up to 165 feet of drying space, you can easily dry multiple loads at once. To install with ground sleeve (included): 1. Dig a hole 8-12 inches in diameter and 20 inches deep. The hole should be wider at the bottom than at the top. 2. Fill the hole with about 3 inches of small rocks, then pour about 6 inches of concrete into the hole (or until concrete comes to the bottom of the ground sleeve when held flush with the ground). 3. Holding the sleeve in place, finish filling the hole with concrete (you may leave a small gap to fill in with dirt and grass if you wish). 4. Immediately run a stick or tube through the sleeve and through the concrete to the rock base to allow water to drain. 5. Insert the lower vertical pole of the dryer into the sleeve, then use a level to align the pole vertically. 6. Remove pole and allow concrete to set fully, then install your dryer.
