I didn't realize that a low profile mattress would be best for this bed. A regular size mattress is a little too high leaving only a little bit of the bed rails exposed. Also, a high mattress makes it hard to slide down the slide. So, we have to return our mattress and opt for a lower profile mattress to make this bed extra special.
