The first time we assembled the bench, the screws went right through the wood top of the bench. Wayfair's customer service was incredibly responsive and apologetic, and sent out an entire new top, base, and assembly parts within a few weeks. The first problem seemed to be a result of incorrect assembly instructions with the longer screws indicated for use when it should have been the shorter screws. The replacement pieces still had the incorrect assembly instructions, but this time, we knew from experience to ignore the instructions and use the shorter screws for attaching the top to the base.. Wouldn't be too upset if it just looked different but was at least good. But the wallpaper looks super cheap and like a kindergarten student drew it. This was one of the more premium-priced wallpapers, so I thought I would be safe spending the extra money to get better quality. I joked that this barn door showed up in a box the size of a banana — long and skinny — and it came in several pieces. I don’t know why that surprised me, but it did. Assembly was actually really easy. The instructions were visual only, but clear, I didn’t mind. Installation was a bit trickier because our studs were off, but once it was up, the door hangs well and slides smoothly.
