I love this pressure cooker! I was looking for something that would make me feel more comfortable using a pressure cooker and I love the feature that directs the steam away from me when I vent the pressure after it is finished cooking! I also really like the wide pot as it makes it easy to stir and serve from. The controls are super simple and intuitive and this was a lot less intimidating to use than I was anticipating. This pressure cooker has all the bells and whistles that I would have expected from a pressure cooker and so far everything I've made in it has turned out perfect and it's super easy to clean as well! There are so many amazing recipes online so I don't think I'll have any problems finding fun dishes to try. This is such an upgrade from our 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We purchased this Danby because our old a/c unit started blowing hot air. After checking to see if it needed draining, filter cleaning, checking the hose for blockages, etc., we realized it was likely not worth trying to get it repaired. We've bought Danby products before but never a/c units. So far, it's doing a great job. We have it set up in our living room, which counts as two rooms if we were to carpet it and so far, it's keeping the space nice and cool. We live in an apartment, so this works really well. The true test will be how it lasts during some of the summer's longer heat waves, but as we're experiencing mini heat waves right now (that last maybe 2-3 days), I'm happy to say that it's doing a decent job. Oh, and it's super quiet. Our other a/c unit that we have in the bedroom runs a lot louder than this one and is maybe only a year old.
