This Bidjar pattern originates in Iran, however, the design of this rug was copied and re-created in the Bhadohi village in the Varanasi region of India by local weavers. I’m actually surprised at how high quality this ginger jar is, I was super skeptical but it’s gorgeous in person and very large. I’m using it as a floor piece to fill space under a console table. So many mass-produced ginger jars seem to be really low quality and whenever they have foo dogs on them the dogs are really amorphous and have zero detail.
