This meaningful classic sculpture represents the foundation of our system of justice and was artfully depicted as a reminder to those of the beauty and strength of our system. The scales held by Lady Justice symbolizes the measure of a case's support and opposition, the blindfold on her represents no preconceived determination. The re-creation was Artist sculpted and then hand-cast in Polyresin. It features our special and rich Platine metal-plated finish. Ok - this is several years down the road and wanted to update folks on this rug. Initially, we loved it. I still love the color and it is very comfortable underfoot. However, this rug sheds horribly and has stretched and shrunk in size since it is not bound. Constantly had to adjust it and the shed was constant and just a mess. We finally could not take it anymore and sent to landfill. I did not want anyone else to have to deal with what we had so didn't even consider donation! We love our new rug ! The color is perfect for our room and décor - and the quality is top notch. I wanted something that would be soft and cushioned somewhat underfoot, but not a high pile that would be hard to maintain. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like this rug. It has a great weight and feels soft underfoot. It complements our casual look nicely. After replacing numerous rugs in my family room, I am hoping this rug will solve the problem of a high traffic/ pet environment, as the colors won't show the usual effects of foot traffic and pet accidents.
