After searching through hundreds of bed frame options and not finding anything else we liked, we decided to go with this for our new king sized bed. It was incredibly easy to put together and the instructions were better than I expected. The only issue was that the instructions referenced pieces being A, B, C, etc. but the pieces didn't have those labels, just the numbered stickers where pieces joined up. It was possible to work around that issue though! The box was heavy and the two of us could have fought it up the stairs, but we just opened the box downstairs and carried the pieces up, which was definitely the way to go. The bed frame is sturdy and doesn't make any noise. The velcro aspect of where the wooden slats sit on the metal is a great addition! We put a 14 inch mattress on it and the headboard is about the same height of the pillows (see image). We opted not to peel off the tape to use the adhesive on the mattress, it has been staying in place well without it, plus it would have made unrolling the new mattress tricky. I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. I would have loved to give this bed 5 stars, but for two reasons I could not. First, the legs are not even. I followed the directions to a T and there is definitely uneven legs. The bed frame turned out nice for the price, however, the bottom headboard piece had the pre drilled holes on the wrong side.
