I bought this as a TV stand for our new living room last year. We have nice big windows and once we assembled it, we realized we didn’t want to block the whole window with a TV. Our TV cabinet arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. It comes in two boxes and it is very heavy, so you might need two people to carry it in. The instructions were good and all the pieces were there, which isn't always the case, so very happy with that. It is not an easy assembly, but there are moving parts and a lot of smaller pieces, so that's not a surprise. At one point we needed two people to stabilize a section while tightening some screws, but for the most part, it's a one person job taking maybe 3-4 hours if you're not experienced. The look is nice. We got the light oak color and it's a little lighter than I expected, but looks good. The most important part is that it works perfectly. We haven't installed the TV yet, but the remote works and it slides up and down effortlessly. The only slight minus is that the remote has no instructions or directions. Absolutely beautiful piece! Had some issues because while unpacking the box, one of the doors fell out and some of the plastic pieces that held the glass in broke. That meant that one of the spring hinges was also missing. Wayfair was great in being willing to send me another high boy to replace it (they couldn't just send the parts), but I really didn't want to deal with that if I didn't need to since it was only hardware that was needed. I have a friend who is really good at coming up with creative fixes, and sure enough, he was able to come through for me! We also added two more elephant head knobs, which personalizee the look for me; they are a pinch too wide for where they're located, and my friend is going to grind them down just a bit.. Mary Jo.
