Many of your favorite songbirds can slip in but larger birds like doves, bluejays, and grackles will have to find another place to feed.

This is the perfect cage for the Painted Bunting birds to keep the big birds from getting inside their caged feeder. Rectangle cages will never work because the big birds learn to duck down and get inside. Because this caged feeder has square openings which the little birds can get in but the big birds cannot. This is a cute item, for sure, but the price is too high for the level of quality. I ended up needing to drill larger holes on each leg or there would have been no way to actually attach them.
