I’m super excited to have this compost bin. Assembly was straightforward and everything snapped together perfectly. I like the open bottom so that earthworms will have easy access to the compost. The open drain in the base ensures worm tea is not building up and lets air flow from the bottom of the farm. The worm saver tray stops the worms falling through to the bottom and is easily pulled out to scrape the worm castings and make sure it stays clean to ensure good liquid and air flow. A 2L flat collection tray sits under the worm farm to ensure the rich worm tea is collected as it drains.

I am brand new to composting and this definitely meets my needs. Once assembled, it is a good size, lightweight, and easy to use. I took off a star because I found assembly to be challenging. Instructions were just ok. It requires over 40 little screws and bolts in some hard-to-reach places. Tough on fingers and fingernails. Calls for a wrench to tighten but no room to get a wrench in. I like that I didnt have to screw but 2 bolts. The frame snaps together and the tumbler only needs the center partition placed and then the door slides on. 10 minutes! Its nice and sturdy, and easy to tumble. The compost will be easy to remove by sliding the door open and rotating it downward. My compost is only a week into the making and its 80 degrees.
