I did a lot of research before buying since there is such a wide price range, and higher wattage really does make a difference in how quickly and efficiently it heats. The steam creates pressure to force the water into the filter holder and through the coffee grounds to brew the espresso directly into the glass carafe. When the espresso has reached the bottom line marking on the glass carafe, you can stop the brewing and switch to frothing milk. When you finish frothing, turn the selector switch back to the coffee brewing position. The powerful steam/boiler reduces warm-up time to less than 2 minutes, producing 2 to 4 cappuccinos or lattes in less than 5 minutes.

You will not be receiving this product as pictured. The pictured item is the sensor probe for their commercial stream generators. The residential stream generator only comes with the probe, no metal housing/ grill. Mr. Stan expects you to put the probe within your grout....so not sure how this would work down the road if you ever needed to service or replace this probe...rip out your grout? Also, you'd need to consider your spacing in your grout where you'd be placing this probe. Wish I knew ahead of ordering and then requesting replacement which arrived like the first, no housing/grill.
