I've seen these newer afwalls being used hundreds of times since being introduced in 2008, and they have been nothing but really reliable and sensory-friendly for people on the spectrum. Unfortunately, there's a vocal group of haters on the internet who do not like this generation of afwall, but pay them no mind. The bowl of this toilet is deep enough compared to the older model that felt too shallow, like I was sitting on a clogged toilet. The new model, also, avoids siphoning out unnecessarily when you flush it, unlike the previous model that can do so unexpectedly and unnerve some people. Inspired by a family photo of a Moroccan wedding dress (El-Keswa El-Kbira) this piece is a work years in the making. Engraved in my mind I knew that one day I would incorporate this personal iconic image in my art. My goal was to express the multitude of feelings and memories the dress evokes for me as well a sense of respect and dignity for my heritage. This image represents Moroccan beauty and a culture rich in customs and history. Legacy captures a sense of growing-up in Israel at a time when intra-Jewish racism was escalating and my family's roots needed to be suppressed, and nearly erased for the price of assimilation. After years of living in NYC do I fully understand the importance of celebrating one's authentic heritage, Legacy helped me explore this important question.

I have been buying this coffee maker for years and love it. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to last very long, despite the regular care I give it, i.e., descaling when the light comes on and changing the water filters. And it gives NO warning when it decides to break. One morning I got up and NOTHING. I had power, it lit up and made the usual noises, but the water would not go into the brewer. More recently, I had one that would not hold water in the reservoir. I'd find water all over my countertop and on the floor the next morning.
