Finally, a cage my rabbit can't chew apart, unlike those cheap wooden cages! The vertical space gives my bunny something different to do on every floor so he's less bored. The only issue is the bottom tray gets urine leaking over the sides because he's a boy bunny and sprays in all kinds of directions. My cockatiel's name is Angel and she has been with us for around 23 years or so. I recently had purchased a large cage for her but it was way too big and she stayed in one corner on a perch all the time. This cage seems more comforting for one bird, or two. It was easy to finish putting together all but the side clips but I figured it out. AND very nice was the bonus toys, skirt feed catcher, which fit like a charm. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. This cage is very sturdy and has held up well. The top attaches securely to the bottom and I like how deep the bottom part is. I ordered this cage for a single female juvenile gerbil. Gerbils LOVE having burrowing and digging space, so the depth of this cage is very good. That said, it's too small for an adult size gerbil or more than one juvenile (young) gerbil. Also, it's difficult to attach a wheel because of the shape of the roof. (I always attach the base of my wheel to the top so that my gerbil doesn't chew the plastic). I did replace the wire ladder and shelf with wooden ones for safety so my gerbil's toes don't get caught. I do like the shape of the cage overall and that it has a top and front door. If you have a very small hamster or gerbil, this would be a good cage.
