An attractive sink at a good price. This is a fireclay sink, which means it is fired at a lower temperature than a porcelain sink, but at a higher temperature than a ceramic sink. Higher temps increase hardness and durability. This becomes apparent as this sink will stain if left soiled overnight, unlike a porcelain sink which you can rinse and wipe clean. It is not a big deal as it does come clean with some bleach cleaner and a sponge. I am happy overall. Note: I bought a sturdy stainless steel sink grid, not included, to protect the bottom from nicks and scratches (~$50), which I recommend. Can be used as a trivet or a cooling rack as well.. Also the Kohler sticker is way off center which you can see in the last pic where the faucet hole is on the countertop is dead center on the sink and the sticker is pretty far off to the right, but I’ve seen this is a common thing and a lot of people take the sticker off themselves so it’s not a huge deal.. This sink drain just added the look we were after for the kitchen sink. I do however need to dry the sink after is cleaned because our water is hard and shows on the black.
