I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. Giving this 5 stars but 4 stars just for the instructions and difficulty putting it together. The side pieces are extremely difficult to slide onto the front glass door. The instructions do make a note of this but it is still very difficult to get those prices in place. The sauna itself works great. Takes about 20 min to get up to 120f which is my favorite temp. Lights can be a little confusing to get to change color but they eventually get working. Only had this for a few days but it is very relaxing and enjoyable. Just difficult to put together at the beginning. Don’t let that dissuade u from getting it, just realize the installation may be frustrating at first.. Andrew. OH. Wed Jun 24 2026
