Wanted to upgrade our over the stove microwave and found this LG one. I love the slide out vent option. It really does get rid of steam and oil smoke from the front burners. It will help when we change to a gas range and oven. Other reviews stated issues with the side out function. I see no issues with the durability. Just don’t lean on it or put things on it. Power is amazing and food cooks quickly and evenly. Some others disliked that the screen goes blank until you open the door. I don’t notice this as an issue. You have to open the door to put your food in first. The only time it requires opening is to use the timer function. We are very impressed with the look, features, quality and price. UPDATE: I ended up taking of the back to see what it was. Turns out they left a foil sticker flapping around on the fan. I removed it, and it works fine. I'm OK with the function but was disappointed at the hassle--nearly had to send it back! My original review below. I liked it, but unfortunately, after <10 uses, I hear a rattle from the inside. Works well. The air filter and lint filter are a little fussy, but they also get diner particles. The operation method is different from our old dryer, but it’s fine. As noted, it’s 120V, so it can take longer. It did great on the “challenge” load which included towels. It’s got little handholds on the side which made it easy to get into place (plus it’s light enough to move around).
