It's a very cute tree and fairly easy to put together but it ended up being wobbly no matter how much I tightened the screws. The flower is more of a step than an area for any adult cat to sleep on. The basket though is fine. Neither of my cats would sleep in the soft hanging basket on the side as the whole tree would likely tip. This tree is really best suited for kittens and very small cats. My 12 and 14 lb cats would not play on this. But I am adopting an 8 lb cat that is fully grown and she will probably like it. But it's not very stable because the two poles that you put together on the left hand side do not tighten properly and it makes the whole tree wobbly. Cute but not a winner.. Carey. New York, NY. Beautiful cat tree, and my cat has grown to love it! He’s 7yo and about 14 pounds. I had two concerns while purchasing 1) how hard would it be to put together and 2) how sturdy would it be. It was relatively easy to put together with well marked parts and photo instructions. It has a very wide square base so I’m not longer worried about it tipping however, when my cat gets to the very top basket and is moving around it appears to shake quite a bit - enough to make me a little nervous. All the parts are sturdy and after 2 months of having it, I can confirm that it hasn’t tipped at all. I love this cat tree. The shelf gets 5 stars from “Mona Lisa”, a 9lb. 1yr old kitty. On the other hand “Miss Piggy”, a 13 lb 4yr old cat, says this is a nicely built 5 star quality kitty shelf, great for climbing and dodging the other cats, but it only gets 3 stars for comfort. It’s a great quality shelf, but “Mona Lisa” is the only cat who will use this shelf to relax in, since she’s so small. The other 5 cats do not use this shelf to relax in, it’s mostly used for getting up off the floor to safety and a means to get up to the longer andor flatter shelves which are the preferred destination shelves..
