I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. Lower settings handle even my flat washable rugs and don’t suck them up. The real test? I accidentally sucked up a metal door stopper that had broken and I immediately stopped the machine and took it apart to find the piece. Found it…in the bag. I love this little machine. Picks up real well one button press and you have your hand vac. Keep in mind this is not a full size vacuum cleaner it is an auto broom. The cup is small but powerful. If I was to change anything it would be the cup size. Make it a little bigger. I have 3 cats and two full size Aussies, that is why I love my Electrolux. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. This is my first stick vacuum, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would give the suction 3 stars and the features 5 stars. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
