This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. Very nice! But too big. This range hood is for a larger or commercial size range. The cabinets hanging on the sides of our stove won’t allow this to be installed. Looks great and heavy. I've lived in this home for almost 8 years. The water about twice a year seems to be "shocked" with chlorine. Now my water test according to the state report is some of the cleaner in the state of NC, but the taste is horrible. The TDS tested at 43 and the chlorine was almost as high as pool water level. So my fiance and myself, after much research, decided on ispring. Cost, customer reviews, install and how it tailored to our issues were why we chose it. Chlorine was drying out our skin, causing itching, and damaging our hair and probably damaging our mitochondria if I had guess. Immediately after I got the whole house system installed and the system purged it was night and day. We've notice more energy, less stomach issues, our hair is easily brushed/combed. We can cook and bathe with the same tap water. I also added the RCC7AK for reverse osmosis to drink. The reverse osmosis water IS BETTER THAN ANY ALKALINE BOTTLED YOU CAN BUY!. Jamie.
