I probably could use two sets of curtains on the window but I don’t think the rod would hold the additional weight. My curtains are fine and do cover the window fine but I would prefer to add an additional set for aesthetics only. I still love the design and would buy them again if they only came in this size. I did purchase a rod larger than I needed so that it is not hanging on just a weaker single rod. It has the support of the rod inside the rod that I’m not using. These are heavy and well made but unfortunately we can't use them with our sliding door. They stick out too far from the wall. But I purchased them because I didn't want to screw the door glide into my new hardwood floor and these go into the baseboard. Great curtain rod! Adds a touch of industrial, very sturdy and easy to install. The only issue I had was with the middle connection. The grip slid off and the edges are a bit sharp, so be careful if curtain fabric is touching the rod directly as it can rip them (if grip is off). Definitely buying one of these for my living room!.
