This is a wonderfully made rug. One thing you can't really tell from the photos is that the background and the white arcs are loop, two of the white geometric designs are "shag" (short pile), and one of the geometric designs may be loop (it's hard to tell). I've added close up photos. These different weaves add interest to the rug. After reading that wool rugs work fine in bathrooms, I purchased this one for my guest bathroom to add a bit of visual interest. Very happy with this excellent quality rug at a good price..
