We are used to cooking with stainless cookware and the only usable burner for cooking on lower heat is the simmer burner. The others are just too intense. The grates are really heavy duty. Great product, poor shipping prep. Love the Braiser - the peche is gorgeous and the price for the 5qt is unbeatable. Le Creuset makes incredibly wonderful products. Only issue is how Wayfair ships the item - they leave it in the Le Creuset box with no additional padding. My pot arrived with several scratches on it and the box was incredibly beaten up.
