Two-speed settings are ideally suited for shampooing scrubbing polishing waxing and buffing all kinds of hard surface floors and carpet.

Assembly was a bit of a challenge. The instructions could have better diagrams, but once I got it together, I am amazed as to how great it is shampooed my filthy carpet. I vacuumed first, shampooed, and then steam cleaned to extract the dirt. I can get by without having to replace carpet for a few years.
