I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. They’re fine there but I will probably eventually change them out since they are not the best with this furniture either. They were a great price. They were packed well but did have a flaw on one side. It wasn’t bad enough to send back. I just turned it toward the wall. No biggie. I think the color is more denim/blue than navy but it worked out just fine in the room so no complaints. The shade seems a bit darker/browner to me than in the online pictures but perhaps that is the light bulb we used. . I purchased open box and both were in excellent condition. Previous reviews I read complained about imperfections but I really think it's just unique textures in each lamp - not a flaw. There is a filter to put on top of the lamp and it does not connect or attach in any way - just sits on top.
