Varying Fortunes, reminiscent of the work of Cy Twombly in the mid-50s, features hand-drawn chalk-like scribbles and rhythmic paint strokes that provide a sense of movement. The work on canvas employs a limited palette of faint lilac and pewter with dashes of pale yellow, chestnut, and vanilla. In Varying Fortunes, the light palette shifts to moodier tones as the narrative transitions from the tranquility of high water to one of mercurial favor. This captivating acrylic painting, measuring 100cm x 80cm (H/W), portrays a ethereal female figure with majestic, golden wings. The artwork, categorized as Lienzo, Espiritual, Figurativo, and Acrílico, evokes a sense of spiritual awakening and otherworldly beauty. The woman, partially nude, is seen from behind, her dark hair cascading down her back.

Reminiscent of European fountains in public squares, these courtyard fountains feature water streaming from tier to tier which provides a pleasant sound.

I was quite apprehensive about buying such an expensive and heavy (300 lbs) item for delivery to Canada, as oversized items can be tricky to return. This was extremely well packaged. It was delivered by moving truck on a wooden pallet (as depicted), and we ended up taking NINE BAGS of packing material to the dump. I offer the following tips for assembly 1) Its very heavy. We used three people to lift the basin onto the pedestal, and a fourth person to navigate the power cord so it wouldnt get crushed. 2) The instructions that come with it are quite basic. They tell you to make sure the rubber stopper is secured well in the basin to avoid leaks. I pushed it in by hand, which wasnt enough, as the basin wasnt holding water. I had to disassemble and carefully tap the stopper in with a rubber mallet, taking care to avoid the power cord running through the center. 3) The rubber stopper appears to be one solid piece, which was confusing at first, but it actually has a hairline split in the side which allows you to press the power cable into the middle of the rubber plug. 4) They provided a large roll of black tubing that needs to be cut. The first segment I cut was a little too long, which caused the hose to crimp and impeded water flow. I shortened it considerably, but this made connecting it a little difficult. A second person needs to support the weight while the connection is made. 5) The clear tubing for the top portion (which is smaller in circumference than the black tubing) was missing. Fortunately we had a suitable replacement on hand. There are no interlocking pieces, it is all held together by weightgravity, so it requires a solid foundation. Initially, I was a little put off by the colour of the fountain as it is much more tera cotta (orangebrown) than I thought it would be, but it looks nice now that it is all assembled and running. My aim was to replace our old acrylic fountain that had broken apart over time. Hopefully, this concrete one will last for many years! I would have given 5 stars if all the parts had been included and the instructions were a bit more clear.. Dana. Bc, Canada. Mon Jun 14 2021
