They provided extra lighting, as well as a festive atmosphere, and looked very cute hanging above our garage door, in the vine. Paired them with other solar-powered lights both on the ground, as well as fairy string lights in our bushes. The bright pink added a great touch of color. I definitely would recommend these - they are fun and add a creative touch to your decorating. The lantern size globe is nice in the large size. These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. I thought these were solar but due to my fault and not reading the description like I should have, I need a transformer and an electrician to install them for me. I got this idea from the lanterns at the Biltmore Estate in Ashville. However, I find it to be quite time consuming to have to put the lanterns upright every single day.
