The Ottoman by 14 Karat Home Inc. Is a very nice well made sturdy ottoman. We couldnt find any manual but it was simple enough to screw in the 8 screws for the feet of the ottoman but there are 2 metal bracket and there are 2 slots in the bottom platform of the ottoman but we cant figure out how it is supposed to be installed. The pillow tops were vacuumed pack and have weight to them very well made and nice material. Our dog loves it! There are velcro on the bottom of the top pillow and the middle section. Pros very nice upholstery, great neutral color and texture, absolutely love the wood base to every piece, the pieces stay in place and don’t slide on our carpet, it’s high quality and heavy, the storage ottomans are super nice with really strong hardware, and I love the versatility of moving sections around. Cons the only thing really is that I wish the cushions were a little thickermore substantial. They have stayed a little bit lumpy since we set it up a week ago. I’ve been having this sofa for about a year and a half now. Everything sticks to it and it’s easy to see the dust. I tried to clean it with the vacuum brush and all it did was tear up the linen on the couch and now some of the cushions look old. You can’t turn over the cushions to hide the damage. I’ve done the same cleaning to my last set of couches from macies and they never had any damage from the vacuum brush. The cushions are hard and you can’t sleep on them. I took a chance with the sofa and also ordered 2 of the loveseats to coordinate at this firepit area. It needs to be put together and was somewhat time consuming as each piece comes in it's own box and is packaged well with lots of padding etc. Also, some of the holes didn't line up and needed to be drilled out a bit to make the screws fit so beware of that. I have the sofa separated in the middle and am waiting for small side tables to be off backorder to coordinate with this. The cushions are thick and the white is bright white.
