(The only reason for a 4-star rating is due to the plastic hose and handwand. All other aspects are a strong 5-star!) The handheld shower unit came with a plastic hose, which I immediately replaced. I am sure the plastic one would have worked well, but the metal replacement looks much better and will last longer. Update on previous review: We have enjoyed this shower system for 3 months and it has been amazing! The water pressure and flow is excellent - much better than expected. The upper head has 2 settings: rain and typical spray. The rain setting is very soothing and soft. The typical spray setting provides a lot of water at great pressure. As noted above I replaced the plastic hose with stainless steel hose. That has worked well. In addition, I actually replaced the hand wand with a Moen unit and prefer it over the one that came standard. (The Moen unit has additional spray settings that the standard unit lacked) The controls on the system are excellent, allowing temperature control on one stalk and water distribution on the other. I really like the ability to set temperature independent of the "on/off" valve. I also love the surface mounted aspect of the system. Not only is it attactive, but this design will make servicing it much easier should an issue arise. Our plumbers commented on the quality of the unit and how easy it was to install. UPDATE The planks were positioned the wrong way initially but upon trying again they all fit, albeit tightly. Once the alignment was settled, the bookshelf was easy to build. Seems very solid and strong for MDF. The metal frame is a good thickness, not too hideously clunky, about 2cm (less than 1 inch.) I have placed a great deal of books on it, including several heavy coffee table books and textbooks. Only time will tell how well it holds. All in all, very pleased with the product and its Bauhaus-look. Would potentially buy another as my library grows. ORIGINAL Top plank measures 10.5inches while the top bar opening measures 9.5inches. Smart Living Technology is a voicemail in Tempe, AZ that doesn't return phone calls. I ran in to multiple problems including a broken wire to the shower valve and left multiple voicemails and never get a call back. You're on your own. The directions were clearly translated from Chinese and make no sense. The shower jets have no system to fasten them to the wall. I think they are supposed to rely on the plumbing to hold them in place? I'd never know because the directions are pointless. I ended up having to silicone them in and strap them from behind. I had to solder the broken wire in the thermostat valve. The lights on the LED are programable ones that let you change color and give you all kinds of colors except a decent white light. If this thing breaks it is going to be a big problem since the seller doesn't respond and it is manufactured in China.. Christopher. AZ. Wed Aug 27 2025
