We purchased this as an opened box purchase, I believe the other person may have returned it due to the pieces not being labeled right or not being the correct pieces. Took about 2 1/2 hours for me to assemble by myself. Has about 40 steps while there are a lot of pieces it does look nice. I ended up going with the black and walnut colors, but the one thing I couldn’t get right were the drawers. Couldn’t get the reveals even after making multiple adjustments. I ordered the 5-tier Corner Bookcase to replace another corner shelving unit in my office. The wood tones match my other wood tones in my office better. The unit parts were all perfectly labelled as was the hardware. I was impressed by how well packaged and labeled everything was. The instructions had larger text and images and that really helped. I was able to get this assembled in about 2 hours. I assembled all 4 of the upper shelves wrong and they had to be reassembled as I was putting the unit together. In the end it came out perfect! The strip lights included with the unit are not useful or even sensible (the back of anything placed on the shelves will be lit from behind, so this would only be good for an art glass collection), the photos advertising the unit on Wayfair made the lighting appear to be slightly recessed, they are taped to the upper back of each shelf and they aim right at you. These unique looking corner shelf filled in my space beautifully. They are a perfect color match. These shelves were easy to assemble. Directions were easy to follow. Everything aligned well and was easy to screw or fastened together. They are constructed a very good quality materials. The shelf is very sturdy. It looks like a high-end shelf, but purchased at a low end cost. I would recommend this shelf unit to anyone whether you’re needing something for a living room, office, or bedroom.
