The "Dove" color is in between tan and gray. I would call it taupe. I have not seen another rug like this. It seems to be made very well and I had no issues with the fringe. Normally I don't like a fringed rug (OCD) but the fringes are sewn onto a kind of wire? so they don't flop around and they don't look like they will fray. If you love jute or sisal look but don't want the smell or the shedding, it's a great alternative. My only knock is that it's very thin, but it's made for outdoors so it would be perfect for a dining room! It's in my guest bath now but I will be moving it to my kitchen. Because it's so flat, it won't be a tripping hazard and I don't think I'll have to worry about stains. I will be purchasing more in other sizes and that says a lot because I'm usually very picky about my rugs. For once I'm happily surprised, not disappointed! Beautiful rug! Never disappointed with Loloi rugs. Giving this a 4/5 because there were a few spots where the rug was “picked”. Nice, thin profile, which is great if you have a door that needs to swing freely over it. Pretty pattern with hints of blue-works perfectly with my dark blue walls and light hardwood floors. Love this rug. It looks little different from the listing picture, but it’s still beautiful. I got a thick rug pad and that made a huge difference. I especially like the detail.
