I don’t think the pictures do the rug justice. At first I was unsure if I liked it, because I usually buy rugs that have a pattern. I bought this rug because of other people’s reviews. The rug is super soft and it is pretty thick. It is very nice. It could be grey or beige—I bought the 9 by 12 so that I can add chairs to my living room eventually. Love love love!!! The color is so perfect and neutral and it’s exactly what I had in mind for the space. It is really thin, so I paired it with a rug pad and it made a huge difference. There is a large tag that comes on the side - take this as your warning and DO NOT PULL IT OFF (as I typically do with any other rug). It will rip the seam on the edge of the rug. I was hoping the carpet colors and design were going to work since I only saw pictures online. I bought two of these rugs after looking for some time. I have used them on my covered porch for two spring /summer seasons. I am very happy with the durability and it is lovely. Would definitely order again and again. The colour is neutral and gives a "jute rug" vibe however the rug is soft (flat pile). I have not experienced any issues with the threads or staining. It has been wet and dries fairly quickly. Not certain I would install in areas that are not protected as it is not on the cheaper side and would be concerned the elements may damage it. I love this rug! It’s perfect for layering or alone. It will look better once I get the rest of my furniture but so far I am very happy with it.
