The "Dove" color is in between tan and gray. I would call it taupe. I have not seen another rug like this. It seems to be made very well and I had no issues with the fringe. Normally I don't like a fringed rug (OCD) but the fringes are sewn onto a kind of wire? so they don't flop around and they don't look like they will fray. If you love jute or sisal look but don't want the smell or the shedding, it's a great alternative. My only knock is that it's very thin, but it's made for outdoors so it would be perfect for a dining room! It's in my guest bath now but I will be moving it to my kitchen. Because it's so flat, it won't be a tripping hazard and I don't think I'll have to worry about stains. I will be purchasing more in other sizes and that says a lot because I'm usually very picky about my rugs. For once I'm happily surprised, not disappointed! This rug was a great addition to my space and looks very much like the photos online. The colors are accurate to the website, which was important to me when coordinating with existing décor. The texture is pleasant underfoot and, despite being on the thinner side, it still feels comfortable and lays nicely once settled. My only drawback was the overall thickness was less substantial than I expected. That said, the appearance makes up for a lot. the pattern and color are beautiful, and it gives the room the exact look I was hoping for. This is one of my favorite rugs I own right now. It looks just like the photos in person, and it’s really nice quality. Amazingly soft and beautiful rug! I did a deep dive on the rug and color before choosing to purchase it for my bedroom. The reviews and images definitely helped. The images, like mine skew a bit darker but when I opened the package, it is beautiful hued brown. The images pick up the darker lights but trust me, it’s a lovely brown-beige hued rug. I tired to show the high and low beige highlights as best that I could. And did I say how wonderfully soft it is! This rug was all that I need to confirm getting another one for living room.. Pamela.
