This rug is beautiful and ties the room together very nicely. I added a 1/2 inch pad which has helped with cushioning since the rug itself is thin. It’s soft to walk on, and the pattern & two-tone colour variation brings a lot of warmth and camouflages stains well because my cat vomited on it shortly after laying it out. The "Dove" color is in between tan and gray. I would call it taupe. I have not seen another rug like this. It seems to be made very well and I had no issues with the fringe. Normally I don't like a fringed rug (OCD) but the fringes are sewn onto a kind of wire? so they don't flop around and they don't look like they will fray. If you love jute or sisal look but don't want the smell or the shedding, it's a great alternative. My only knock is that it's very thin, but it's made for outdoors so it would be perfect for a dining room! It's in my guest bath now but I will be moving it to my kitchen. Because it's so flat, it won't be a tripping hazard and I don't think I'll have to worry about stains. I will be purchasing more in other sizes and that says a lot because I'm usually very picky about my rugs. For once I'm happily surprised, not disappointed! This rug is beautiful, and so soft! It looses a star because the frayed edges have threads pulling out, and I worry about its reliability over time with kids and pets. It’s also a lot lighter than pictured. I was expecting more color but it’s pretty light. It’s beautiful! I am glad I got it on sale though, as I don’t think it’s worth over 1k in the 9x12 size..
