This is a very soft area rug! I got a pad for underneath it but you probably wouldn’t need one. The cats LOVE it. This is exactly what I wanted, it’s soft, not too thick, didn’t shed, came rolled instead of folded — and just a better quality affordable rug. I did try others but this one has kind of set the bar.
