If I was rating this on the hardware alone, I would give it 5 stars. If I had to rate just the installation instructions and tech support, it would get 2. But since once it's installed it's only the hardware that counts, I'm giving it a 4. The trickiest part of the install is using the template they give you, since it determines where the holes are drilled and getting everything to line-up. Unfortunately the instructions are just plain wrong on this, since they tell you to align the lowest horizontal line on the template with the 'notch' on the bracket (this makes more sense when you're actually doing it.) But looking at the template, it becomes apparent that those two things can't possibly line-up. And to add to the frustration, there's a 10 minutes video provided that shows the step-by-step assembly. However, when they get to drilling the holes, the template is already attached to the gate-- they completely skip-over how to position it! Another frustrating aspect is that when following the instructions, they differ depending upon whether you have a left- or right-hinged gate. But they never explain how that's determined. I even phoned for tech support when I ran into issues with the template and asked "Is it considered left-hinged if the hinges are on the left when the gate is opening towards you?" The tech support guy said "It doesn't matter whether it opens towards you or away from you-- it's whether you're inside or outside the fence." (The correct answer is that it's the side the hinges are on when you're facing the gate and it's opening towards you.) Overall I like this lock very much. We keep our gate locked since our dog is not stranger-friendly, and delivery people were always trying to use the gate. But if we didn't have the keys with us, we couldn't get through either. I also like that the isn't powered (no wiring to run or batteries to wear out), and the fact that the order you press the keys in doesn't matter is good, since we can, for instance, use the same code as our alarm panel (once less code to remember) but give someone else the code numbers in a different order, so they can open the gate, but not disarm the alarm with that code.. This is a good locker, it has 3 small locker compartments that can be individually locked. We are just using it for storage in my son’s bedroom and it works for that. It's nice and tall. It's relatively sturdy (solid in that its metal and should maintain its durability once it's assembled). Metal is not super heavy which helps with assembling it and getting it into place but metal can easily bend/dent if not handled carefully. Don't kneel or stand on it when trying to assemble it (that's really hard to do because accessing holes is challenging). Or if you do, try to put a pillow down or something before you step/kneel on a piece of the metal. That will minimize the potential of denting it. The set up is "easy" in that it instructions are pretty straight forward. However, accessing holes and placing the tiny bolts and nuts together while trying not to dent the metal is finicky. There are a LOT of nuts and bolts!! Lots of patience and persistence helps get you through this set up. We did not but all the hooks up because it was not necessary and helped cut down on the need to thread more nuts and bolts. You will need a ratchet type tool to tighten nuts and an extender to get at the many challenging areas. I'm not at all an expert or handy with assembling things so it took me over 4 hours.. Sharon. I’ve gotten prices from $1200-$1400 to replace the door after we remodeled the shower. Price of this door was really great. I have to tell you the instructions are just a little bit sketchy, but you can figure them out. The quality of the door and its hardware is really great. We have just installed new porcelain tiles in the shower. Had we had just about any other material it would’ve been pretty easy. I love it very heavy I gave four stars because came damaged due to shipping and missing 4 lock magnet sews that already came put together but I’m just go take the sew out another one and go match them up at local hardware store to replace it Wayfair did give me a chance to replace parts or take discount I wish could of discounted more but I’m go keep it and don’t feel like going threw the delivery part again poor driver was struggling and can hide most of the damaged parts hopefully children do good by them but other then that the size is just right and have nice size of room inside for what I needed it for I house the triple stacked then a singer one so I can get 16 lockers I needed for home daycare came out great.
