It is sturdy enough for being this light but I wouldn't say this is a heavy duty and sturdy box that will take abuse such as sitting on it or kids jumping on it. This is the second Seville cabinet we have gotten and I would buy more. They are sturdy and have great directions and simple design which make them easy to assemble for 1 person. 1 issue with this 24" version is that the holes for cables in the back are too small for most of our 3 prong power cables - the hole is too small if there is even a small tip attached to end piece - many of our power cables have multiple outlets so we need to pass the male end through and they generally don't fit. The other thing to note - but definitely not of much concern to us, was that the little grey "EZ assembly" (something like that) pieces cannot just be pushed in by hand. We had to hammer them as part of the door hanging which is the only place we used them. These little grey pieces were not part of our larger cabinet - which we built first - so we kind of ignored/missed using them in other places, no doubt. Finally, our larger version of this cabinet has wheels but this one does not - wish I had noticed that earlier. If the cable holes were larger and if it had come with wheels, it would easily be a 5.. Salsbury 62000 series 12-inch wide double-tier standard metal lockers are constructed of 16 gauge steel. The lockers are available for colleges, high schools, locker rooms, government agencies, and many other applications.

It's nice and tall. It's relatively sturdy (solid in that its metal and should maintain its durability once it's assembled). Metal is not super heavy which helps with assembling it and getting it into place but metal can easily bend/dent if not handled carefully. Don't kneel or stand on it when trying to assemble it (that's really hard to do because accessing holes is challenging). Or if you do, try to put a pillow down or something before you step/kneel on a piece of the metal. That will minimize the potential of denting it. The set up is "easy" in that it instructions are pretty straight forward. However, accessing holes and placing the tiny bolts and nuts together while trying not to dent the metal is finicky. There are a LOT of nuts and bolts!! Lots of patience and persistence helps get you through this set up. We did not but all the hooks up because it was not necessary and helped cut down on the need to thread more nuts and bolts. You will need a ratchet type tool to tighten nuts and an extender to get at the many challenging areas. I'm not at all an expert or handy with assembling things so it took me over 4 hours.. Sharon.
