The overall size showing on the surface is 9" square with a 5-1/2" hood and a 1-1/4" long attachment collar for 6" round ductwork ( not for use with dryer venting ). Equipped with a spring-loaded backdraft damper and bird screen to keep nests and small animals on the outside. The wall cap is made of 22 gauge crack steel construction with a black electrically-bonded epoxy finish for durability and long life. Sold as 1 to a carton.

This was the only vent cap that I could find with 6" round ducting, for use with my Air Exchanger input. Although it worked, with some difficulty and modification, I wish it were made of plastic instead of heavy duty aluminum. Grilles will not rust and are not prone to corrosion which makes them excellent for high-humidity areas and dry areas alike. Ribbon grilles are flat on the back and have no inserts. Grilles should not be used on the floor and are only for wall and ceiling applications for central air conditioning and heating systems. Due to the nature of the curing process, grilles can vary very slightly in size so please take the measurements as an approximate size. All grilles should be installed using the provided screws to ensure a safe application. Please note, that these grilles are intended to be primed/painted and will come in an off-white beige color.

This is a super solid wall grille. It can be customized if needed, I trimmed mine down using a multi-tool. You would need to drill holes for screws if needed to attach. A solid choice - I think it was made with a 3D printer-?. Carla. TX. Sun May 24 2026
