They do have an odor to them so if you’re planning to use inside they might need to air out. The stakes it comes with are sharp and should hold well. I am incredibly impressed with this pair of faux variegated Dracaena plants. I’ve bought plenty of artificial greenery in the past, but I’ve never really encountered a faux plant quite like this one. A lot of times you buy these things and they look or feel super crappy, but these are a totally different story. The leaves have this unique, smooth, rubbery texture that gives them some real substance and weight. They look and feel remarkably real. They were so easy to get ready, too. They come securely glued right into their little seedling pots with a faux dirt finish, so there's zero assembly. You literally just take them out of the box and bend the leaves down to shape them however you want. Right now, I haven’t even had the time to properly decorate or place them anywhere—they're just kind of sitting on my living room floor in their seedling pots looking a little weird for the moment! But because they have sun protection and mechanically grafted leaves, I absolutely cannot wait to move them out to the backyard. They have a great weight to them and feel durable enough to easily handle the outdoors. They're just a really high-quality product, and I can tell they're going to last a long time.
