When we saw this LED fixture it seemed too good to be true. It is the right size to cover the the hole from our old fixtures, is low profile and sleek looking and energy efficient. For the past few months, I've known it was time to replace the dim, buzzing fluorescent light in my kitchen with its constant flickering and failure to power on 98% of the time; I just did not know what I was going to get to replace it until I saw Lithonia Lighting's gorgeous rounded edge fluorescent light. The fluorescent lamp is clear, bright and cool to the touch and since it does not use as much energy as a traditional incandescent light bulb, it is providing this single mom and teacher with 25% - 35% energy savings. It is also long lasting - 10,000 hours+ - compared to a traditional incandescent bulb 800 to 1,500 hours. My only complaint is that fluorescent lighting includes a small amount of mercury liquid inside of it, which is converted into a mercury vapor when the lamp is turned on and can impose a small threat of mercury exposure to my family.. Haven’t installed yet, but these were a great value on sale! I’ve seen some places charging 80 per light and the cheapest other option was still 40. I recently installed the 6Pack 1X4 LED Flat Panel Light by Sliny Toy Trade, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Replaced 2 8 foot flourescent garage ceiling mount lights. Not user friendly with respect to mounting on ceiling where existing wiring penetrates.
