These solar lights are beautiful but I have tried and tried to remove the plastic cover off the solar panel area on one of them. I even read that I could use warm water and that did not work. I also read you can warm it up with a blow dryer and that did not work. I am being extra careful to not damage the surface. Cons: * It is very top heavy and wobbly. If you have pets or small kids you'll need to find a way to stabilize it. The base is a small metal square but it does have holes so you could bolt it into something * It comes in multiple pieces: the base, two "trunks" and six branches, so it needs to be assembled and all the wires connected. Each twig on each branch will need to be "fluffed" and positioned but hopefully you only have to do it once * The trunk and branches are covered in black matte tape. Mine was slightly torn in a few spots (pictured) and it doesn't look like bark * The connectors and wires definitely show but you can tape or tuck them up to make it somewhat less obvious. * The cord starts from the place where the branches join the trunk (about 2/3 of the way up) instead of at the bottom so it hangs a long way to the outlet and could easily get snagged by pets or kids etc. Overall it's a lovely piece and with some time, effort, and ingenuity should be a stunner but you'll need to put in the work..
