I really like these fixtures, but wanted to add one word of caution. Because the decorative links are STEMS rather than chains, "adjusting the length" means using 1 or 2 stems. You are not given that much flexibility in the length. This was hard for us, because we found out that 1 stem made it too high and 2 stems made it too low. (We had a very creative electrician who came up with a solution using brass colored links from another fixture we had ordered. Otherwise, we would have had to return this fixture).. Yuko. We chose the black option. It is heavy, but our electrician was able to manage it. It is simple-yet sophisticated, delicate, and feels very organic in our space. I love the texture of the alabaster, and the warm glow the light and how it brightens up the various colors of the alabaster. It casts a great light at night, so don't worry about whether it will be bright enough. It is also dimmable, so get a dimmer if you can. I tried to include both day and evening photos. This was a little smaller than I anticipated (assumed it would be the same size as a similar medallion from the same brand, silly me) but it is a subdued, elegant touch to upgrade a fixture I still want to replace!
