My wife got this for me on a lark. We recently remodeled and repainted my office, and she felt like the light strand would make it kinda fun. She was 100% correct! The LED light strand adds a certain je ne sais quois to the room. The office is nautically themed, so one might expect sparse decorating, with paneled brown walls… this look, with the lighting, looks very nice. The remote control has several buttons that let you change colors and animations. The only issue is, and they address this in the included manual, when you size it you have to cut at specific areas. I'm really enjoying this so far. I've got it working with SmartThings which means it's working (okay) with Google Home. All five of my RF fans work with this device. I would say signal is sent to those devices correctly 95% of the time. I have found that if I accidentally misclick, it is better if I count to 10 before making the correct choice. Is it perfect? No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone.
