One thing I've noticed is that I sometimes lean against the front knobs while using it, so in hindsight I may actually prefer controls on the back. That said, the oven's performance has been excellent. After completing the initial burn-off process, I baked banana bread, and it turned out perfectly, the best banana bread I've made.
