Shed went together easily, with decent directions. I understand why the metal is covered with plastic to protect during shipping, but it peels and looks bad in time. We've had ours up for 2 winters now in Vermont, and no damage, doors and latches still work. I recommend setting this up on 2 pallets with plywood attached on top if it isn't going on a hard level surface. Tolerances are tight, and you will be happier with the result if it's on a perfectly level surface. Too bad about the peeling plastic, as it's a good looking shed for the money. It’s a nice shed overall. One panel was broken when I opened the package, which was disappointing, but aside from that, it’s quite good and very spacious. Read full review. This is a very decent shed especially for the price. It does take some effort to build. I completed in less than 6hrs with no assistance. Read the instructions before you start. It will help. Organize the pieces. There were a lot of reviews stating dents and dings right out of the box. Mine came with a few. It is sheet metal so I expected some. Some of the holes don't line up perfectly, again it is sheet metal you can easily maneuver it or drill a perfect match. I just maneuvered it. The latch is flimsy so if you are in need of security you should probably get a different latch. You will need a ladder if you are shorter for the roof screws. 6ft worked perfectly. It is very light weight so I assembled it on 2 average wooden pallets for a sturdy base and anchored it in when it was completed. Overall this is a great shed for it's price.. Jennifer. The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. I love this! It’s so much bigger than the three plastic ones I was using before. I wanted the top one a little lower because I was planning to put all of my, and my significant other Dan’s suitcases. Up on the top shelf. One word of advice. When attaching the top and bottom side supports together. Put a shelf in between the two supports. So that it can be stable when you’re finishing the setup. Plus whatever you put there. Can help stabilize it too. Putting this together by myself. Was pretty easy. Although I wished I had an extra hand sometimes. With how wide it is. But I was able to get it altogether by myself. In four hours, and it was done. I put the bottom prices for the bottom part of the legs in. That say to do first in the directions. To not scratch up the floors. But this was going into the garage. So it really didn’t matter. And our house is very old. So the garage floor is old too.
