They heat up quick when you need it and the barely there simmer level is really good. They cool fast as expected from induction, really easy to clean up messes. This set of levers is designed for indoor use only, and it includes one 2-3/4 inch steel spindle, and one 3-5/8 inch steel spindle with 3/8 inch-20 threads. These French style levers fit 1/4 inch square drive spindle systems commonly found in antique and vintage door hardware sets, and with the two (2) provided square spindles, it can adjust to accommodate doors of different thicknesses. The lever shanks include setscrews for fastening to the square spindles. All other components of matching vintage design must be purchased separately to include the internal mortise lock body, the door rosettes, the trim and strike plates, or the latch and fasteners. Note: These levers cannot be used on pre-bored doors that have large, newer style doorknob holes without first prepping them to receive this older-style hardware. Installation tip: Because the fasteners of the rosettes (purchased separately) require a solid surface to mount to, the large 2-1/8 inch (approximate size) holes must first be filled with a hardening filler, to then be able to receive the rosette fasteners. Products like Fix-It-All and Bondo Body Filler have worked well for some, but care must be used to avoid damaging any prefinished door surfaces during application and finishing.

Very sturdy and easy to install. We installed ours over where a round doorknob used to be. We still need to add a little wood filler, stains and paint to cover a small bit of the hole in the door at the top of the handle. This went on my interior laundry roommudroom door. Due to humidity and occasional dampness, the old, cheap knobs would become hard to turn. I have issues with arthritis in my hands. This is so easy to use compared to the round knobs.
